I Understand What You’re Going Through
I’ve been in your shoes. As a horse owner without formal training, I made my share of mistakes—most of them rooted in one simple truth: I didn’t know what I didn’t know. I was unconsciously incompetent, unaware of the gaps in my understanding and the impact they had on my horse’s well-being.
Then one day, my horse became severely lame. The diagnosis was laminitis.
In that moment, I became consciously incompetent—painfully aware of how much I didn’t know and how unprepared I was to help. It was an incredibly uncomfortable place to be. But that discomfort lit a fire. It drove me to push past my fear, ask questions, seek help, and commit to learning everything I could.
That journey changed everything. I learned, applied, and grew. I helped my own horses, and then others. Over time, I became consciously competent, developing the skills and knowledge that now guide the work I do every day.
Today, I teach the same process that helped me succeed—because I know what’s possible when you have the right support.
Wherever you are in your hoofcare journey—just starting out, facing a tough case, or looking to grow—we’re here to help. My team and I are committed to walking with you, step by step, to build your confidence, your skills, and your connection with the horse.
You don’t have to do this alone.
